New graduate scientists
MarineSpace Ltd are pleased to announce the appointment of two new graduate marine ecologists who will be based in the Peterborough office.
Amy McHugh has recently graduated from Newcastle University where she undertook MSc International Marine Environmental Consultancy. Amy completed her MSc thesis with Northumberland Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority (IFCA) which assessed long-term change in the Northumberland ecosystem and has previously completed internships at the Marine Management Organisation (MMO) and Blue Reef Aquarium.
Shona Guinan has also recently been awarded an MSc in International Marine Environmental Consultancy from Newcastle University. Shona completed her MSC thesis on assessment of the levels and impacts of disturbance to the little tern (Sternula albifrons) colony within Crimdon, County Durham, to support the EU LIFE funded RSPB project. She undertook an internship with Durham Heritage Coast during her studies.
Both will be providing ecological advice in support of a variety of projects and plans within the various marine sectors, such as marine aggregate producers, statutory nature conservation agencies and offshore renewable developers.
