Katie Cross joins the team
MarineSpace Ltd (www.marinespace.co.uk), a marine planning, environmental and development consultancy based in the UK has confirmed the appointment of the company’s latest team member. Katie Cross, formerly the Marine Wildlife and Environmental Commercial Manager of Gardline Environmental, has recently joined MarineSpace as Marine Environmental Consultant. Katie’s remit will be to support the team in continuing to develop and deliver our consultancy services, principally within the offshore oil and gas sector but particularly decommissioning, a sector in which Katie has been a lead player for some years. Katie has a great range and depth of technical and business development experience gained over more than 15 years of working in the marine survey and consultancy sectors.
MarineSpace already provides technical, consenting, data and project development services to a large portfolio of clients across a number of marine sectors. Katie’s addition to the MarineSpace team will enable the company to extend its reach and continue its growth and diversification activities. With a background in marine ecology and survey, Katie will augment MarineSpace’s existing offering to clients and also provide additional technical expertise across the company’s marine survey consultancy activities.
Commenting on her decision to join MarineSpace, Katie said “I am excited to be joining the team at MarineSpace, and to be working within such a well-established marine consultancy company. This move represents a fantastic opportunity in terms of both my personal, and company, development. I am really looking forward to hitting the ground running and getting settled in with the team, as well as helping develop the business, especially into the oil and gas sector which is where I have the greatest experience.”
MarineSpace’s Managing Director, Stuart Lowe provided the company’s view of Katie’s addition to the team. “We are obviously really pleased that someone of Katie’s experience and calibre has chosen to join MarineSpace. Katie’s specific skills and experience will be a great help in delivering projects to our existing clients and she will also be instrumental in developing new business to achieve the Company’s strategic aims.”
Katie will be based in East Anglia, supporting our marine ecology team in Peterborough and working with Phil Durrant, Technical Director as we further develop our base in Norwich.
